Basic is the default starter rank of all item made by players. Its magical capabilities are limited, and it functions primarily as a standard tool for survival.

Novice is the next level of all basic items that have been improved through your experience and battles. You have managed to raise the durability and capabilities of the item, improving its magical capabilities. It has become enchanted in the blood of your forsaken enemies, making it an item that small forsaken will fear.

Rare is the third rank of all items further improved by both battle and survival. You have managed to dramatically improve the magical capabilities of the item. It has started to be able to shield you from the madness, which will comes and handy when your dealing with any less than X forsaken beasts.

Epic is the second highest rank of all items that have been subjected to the presence of higher level forsaken beasts. Your item more easily shields you from this piercing madness and reaches the pinnacle of its magical power that it can reach on it's own. At this level of enchantment, you can wander the wilderness on your own for extended amounts of time without fear of the madness.

Legendary rank items are those that have been crafted from high ranking forsaken beast themselves, gaining a "blessing" from the very beast slain to make the weapon. It protects you and shields you form all forms of madness, but slowly drains the energy of its power source. Over time the blessing will start to fade, and if it has not had a sacrifice of equally powerful amount of forsaken blood it will run dry and crumble into dust and release the madness it has since subdued. It's a truly demonic item that is unmatched but at a high cost.

Nothing is has been noted about this rank of item, people say that it's an unholy armor.
